The Treehouse

The tree-house has been created to share our beautiful piece of paradise and invite guests to experience life close to nature without the distraction of phones and social media. It's nestled in a tranquil oasis of trees and ferns and is an ideal getaway to wind down, connect with nature and recharge your batteries. It has been built using locally sourced or reclaimed materials and everything is either hand made or up-cycled. It can be a peaceful retreat or a great base to explore West Cork and Kerry. You can curl up by the fire and read a book, go for a stroll in the woods or enjoy a glass of wine on the balcony. And if you’re feeling adventurous the picturesque Lough Allua is less than 5km away offering fishing and kayaking, and this area of natural beauty is perfect for cycling and hill walking with many official signposted routes.

The cabin is bright and airy with tall ceiling and large windows. It can comfortably accommodate 2 adults (with an option for an extra guest/child sleeping on the sofa-bed- please note the treehouse is not suitable for children under 12). The bathroom features shower, flushing toilet and hand basin with hot water provided from an 80L electric water heater. The bathroom is located under the mezzanine (note headroom is 195 cm). The kitchenette has a mini-fridge, electric kettle, toaster, nespresso pod coffee machine, 2 ring electric hob and a microwave. The sleeping area is located in the mezzanine accessible by a ladder (height to apex is 160cm, so you will not be able to stand) but if you don't feel like climbing stairs you can use the sofa-bed instead. The cabin is heated by a small wood burning stove.
